Akhil Sachdeva’s First Single Gal Sun Might Just Leave You Mesmerised

Gal Sun was to initially release in a Bollywood film

Singer Akhil Sachdeva’s debut single Gal Sun is a love ballad that is not only soulful but also has a mix of grunge, rock and grime. Produced by T-Series, this love ballad single has been composed and sung by Akhil Sachdeva and penned by lyricist, Manoj Muntashir.

The music video has been directed by Charit Desai and features Sneha Namanandi along with Akhil in the picturesque island of Chania. Akhil is releasing this song post the hugely popular Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The song packs in several emotions – love, anger, pain, joy and ecstasy and the video, shot in unexplored islands of Greece

Talking about Gal Sun, Akhil said, “The experience for me was amazing and very different because I had fractured my hand during the shoot. Even after the accident, I was driven to complete the video. There was remarkable energy on set. They felt my energy was positive when I entered the set and it changed everybody’s thought process. All of us were consumed by the song that we wanted to do it well and from all our heart. It was shot on an island called Chania which has not been explored much before.”

According to Akhil, this song was actually written and composed four months before he made Humsafar. It was almost in the same phase, three and a half years ago when he made these songs. “On a personal level, I prefer this song, it is more close to me than Humsafar. So, I am really happy that it is coming out now as a single after three years. I feel hugely confident about this song. It was fun also because I am acting in the video and that was also a lot of work. The storyline is such that it is not just a regular music video,” informed Akhil.

According to T-Series, initially, the idea was to release the song in a Bollywood film but due to the trend of bringing back the pop culture of the 90s, they thought of releasing this song as a single.
