Guess What Sonu Nigam Would Have Been If not a Singer ?

A rapid fire round with Sonu Nigam

A Rapid Fire Session with Sonu Nigam:

HFT: Any other love besides music?

Sonu: Many actually but I love science. I just love watching the shows on Discovery and National Geographic channels. Besides that, I like listening to speakers like Osho n J Krishnamurthy.

HFT: What is your favourite colour?

SONU: Blue is my favourite colour. My son loves blue too so it has to be my favourite.

HFT: What is your favourite food?

SONU: I am a foodie so I love almost everything. You cannot be a foodie if u love only one kind of food.

HFT: What is your one comfort food?

SONU: It has to be South Indian Lamb Stew with Appam.

HFT: Since you mentioned that you are a foodie, how do u keep fit?

SONU: I work out and sometimes also have a diet plan.

HFT: Something that always goes with you in your travels

SONU: Mobile phones, because I use it not just for calling, also recording data. Hard drive and chargers too.

HFT: Which is your favourite song?

SONU: Generally I never choose my own songs but I love Abhi Mujme Kahin  Baki Todhi Se hai Zindagi.

HFT: Places you like performing abroad.

SONU: I love doing shows in America, which I do once in two years, Dubai is another place where I perform every year because of great shows and great promoters.  Also, places like South Africa and Holland are great places because of great listeners.

HFT: If not a singer, what would you be doing?

SONU: If not singing, I’d be a scientist. I used to love Physics and Biology. I would have had my own lab in my house, like I have a studio today.

HFT: Female singers you like singing with

SONU: There are many but I have had lots of great songs with Shreya and Sunidhi .

HFT: What would you change from your past, if you had the power  to change it?

SONU: Nothing. Whatever I am today is because of those past experiences.

HFT: Who are some of the international singers you admire?

SONU: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Michel Bolton are some of the many I admire.

HFT: What is your favourite kind of music?

SONU: According to me, there are two kinds of music. One is made with sincerity, and the other  is made with ‘masti’ just to market and sell. Something made with the right intent is what I like. Some songs may be a super hits but I can’t relate to them.

HFT: Best advice given to you

SONU: When I came to Mumbai, I was 18, I had not seen much in life so my father told me something that I always kept in my mind. He said, “Either you have fun now and struggle later or you struggle now and have fun later.”

Sonu Nigam surely has worked hard and come a long way. Here’s wishing the Elvis Presley of India, a very Happy Birthday, from all of us at HFT.
