They read because they like to keep themselves updated. They have a genuine quest to improve their knowledge and skills. They do not study only for exams. They prioritize what is important, and concentrate only on that information. They do not fill their minds with Doctor Who plotlines. Instead they spend time in learning things that will help them in achieving their goals. Steve jobs travelled to India and took many inspirations back home, which helped in creating the Apple dream.

All geeks are kind and empathetic. They may not be able to express it well in words, but they try to help the poor and the weak. They engage in a lot of philanthropy. They know giving is receiving, and they try to better the world. They understand the problems other people may face and use their knowledge to derive solutions that help millions.
