Prajakta Started Her Journey As An Intern In Mumbai

This quirky girl started her journey with 104 FM radio station in Mumbai as an intern. She worked there for almost 1 year, when she met Hrithik Roshan and made a video with him.

Launched Her Own Youtube Channel

After interning, she launched her own YouTube channel on 12th February 2015. Her YouTube name is MostlySane where she uploads some comic videos which are ‘mostly sane’. She has collaborated with her fellow Youtubers like Gaurav Gera, Ashish Chanchalani. Her YouTube channel has garnered 3.4 million + subscribers. Also, she was announced as the ‘Viral Queen’ of 2017 at the IWM Digital Awards.

Prajakta Has Been A Part Of Social Initiatives

She is working for the welfare of the society as well

On World Mental Health Day in 2016, Prajakta launched her campaign #iPledgeToBeMe which addresses mental health well-being and body shaming. Through her video, she appealed to her viewers that she would like them to share with her their experiences around body shaming. She wrote a rap song ‘Shameless’, which was released in May 2017. The video features Raftaar, Raghav Juyal, RJ Mallishka, Gaurav Gera, Mithila Palkar, and Sahil Khattar. Apart from this, she has been a part of several campaigns like #GirlsCount where she spoke about the importance of girls’ education. She also participated in YouTube’s Safer Internet Week where she addressed cyber-bullying. She was also one of the four YouTube creators from India invited by the Obama Foundation to attend the town hall meeting by the then President, Barrack Obama.

The Indian Ambassador For Youtube’s Global Initiative

Prajakta has been the winner of several prestigious accolades

In May 2018, Prajakta was announced as the Indian Ambassador for YouTube’s global initiative, ‘Creators For Change’, which deals with problems like hate speech, xenophobia and extremism. She made a music video named “No Offence” for her YouTube Creators for Change Project. She even did a secret screening of this video in an official MostlySane Meet and Greet at Mumbai, where 10,000 of her subscribers were present. The music video was screened in the United Nations where she represented India among 60 other countries. Isn’t this amazing?

Her First TV Commercial

In December 2018, MostlySane did her first national TV commercial for WhatsApp which deals with prevention of propaganda and spreading fake news through the messaging app. This commercial has been well received with positive and encouraging comments across the board.
