This guy’s career saw a major downfall as he has been in and out of jail and with no Bapu to save him and no Gandhigiri to reach out to the world. Sanjay Dutt has been one of those superstars of Bollywood who has been misjudged more often than not. He has been one of those who has had to go through a rough patch at almost every stage of his life. But our very own Munna Bhai managed to come out clean through his biopic Sanju, which gave us an insight into his life, and it also told us how a human being is indeed a shade of grey and never completely black or white; definitely not our Sanju Baba.

Recently, he has delivered a series of not so successful movies like Policegiri, Ungli, Bhoomi, to name a few. However, it’s never too late to restart, and the Khalnayak of B town has been roped in for the award-winning director, Ashutosh Gowariker’s next movie, Toolsidas Junior.

This movie is definitely going to come to us a pleasant surprise as it will feature Raj Kapoor’s youngest son Rajiv Kapoor. Rajiv Kapoor stepped into the world of Bollywood with the romantic family drama directed by Rajiv Kapoor, Ek Jaan Hain Hum (1983). The movie starred other supremely talented actors like Tanuja, Shammi Kapoor, and Divya Rana. After that, Rajiv was last seen in the 1990 movie, Zimmedaaar, before starring in his father’s film, Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), in the lead role.

With Zimmedaaar, we have not seen Rajiv Kapoor facing the big screen, and he is going to make a comeback in Ashutosh Gowariker’s next movie after a long span of twenty-eight years. While all that’s great, what we are equally excited about is the latest entry into the movie. Yes, reportedly Ashutosh’s spokesperson has vouched for the news that Sanjay Dutt is the latest entrant into Toolsidas Junior.

The story of the movie revolves around the father-son relationship. And, of course, we are more than excited to check out the role of Sanju Baba, who does a cameo role in the movie. Sanjay Dutt will be playing the role of a snooker coach in the movie, and we are all eagerly waiting to see how well this small yet noticeable role pans out for Sanjay Dutt. He signed up for the movie as soon he the script was narrated to him as he loved the role that was assigned to him. He will be seen as the coach of the son, which is played by Varun Buddhadev.

The movie is being directed by Mridul, who was the co-director of the 2005 movie Missed Call, which had the honour to represent India at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. Missed Call remains in the Films Division’s honour list of Best Indian Cinema.

With the period drama, Kalank, which will see the iconic pair of Sanjay and Madhuri after years, Sadak 2, where Sanju will reunite with co-star Pooja Bhatt again and the historical drama Panipat, with Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Padmini Kolhapure, we are eagerly waiting to catch Toolsidas Junior.
