Bhaijaan has always had a separate fan base. Irrespective of all the negative news associated with his name, there is a part of him which will forever remain close to the hearts of all those who love Bollywood a bit too much. He was the Prem who gave us the tenets on friendship and said that it should not have the formalities of sorry or thank you. He is the Pandey Ji, who made us laugh with his crazy antics and at the same time, made us fall in love with his strength and power.

This journey from Prem to Pandey Ji has been a long and an arduous one, but we have seen how consistently this man has grown over the decades and given us some great movies to cherish. Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Bharat can easily be called the much awaited movie of the year and the poster of the movie which was recently released left us all spell bound.

We had never seen Salman Khan in this avatar before and the poster is endearing in its own ways. The poster of Bharat has Salman Khan with a calm and intense look and he has gone all grey for the poster. He is seen sporting a beard and a well grown moustache. The intense yet calm look in his eyes behind the pair of spectacles cannot be missed and it goes a long way in telling us that the movie is going to tell us some tales which will be worth remembering.

The poster also has a punch line which says “the journey of a man and a nation together”, so it is obvious that this patriotic film will be as much about India as about Bharat, a role which is played by our very own Salman Khan. Bharat will also see Katrina Kaif in the lead role starring opposite Salman Khan. For the ones who are a tad bit disappointed in seeing an aged Salman, the hero has himself assured that the journey of the movie will be fresh and colorful. Both Katrina and Salman will be seen donning five different looks, which would showcase their journey from the age of eighteen to sixty years.

A teaser of Bharat had also been released by the makers of the movie, which portrayed a young Salman, performing stunts on a motorbike. That was the younger version of Bhaijaan and the poster probably tells the tale of the older Salman Khan. We love it how Salman Khan is rocking his salt and pepper avatar in the poster and the 90s kids are getting all weepy as we are mostly accustomed to seeing Salman as either the chocolate boy or as the tough action hero. The nostalgia, however, remains in his eyes, which have had unchanged honesty in them.

Salman Khan took to Instagram to let his Instafam know that even though he may have gone grey for the poster, but the life story of Bharat has been much more colorful. The poster also depicts Jackie Shroff in the background and the sad faces of a few helpless children. In the movie, Jackie Shroff will be seen playing the role of Salman Khan’s father.

Bharat is the remake of the Korean film, An Ode to My Father, and also stars Disha Patani and Tabu. Bharat will be releasing on the auspicious day of Eid.
