People now know her as one of the new students of Karan Johar’s upcoming film Student Of The Year 2, directed by Puneet Malhotra but there is a lot more to Tara than just being a talented actor.
Acting is not completely new for Tara who has been born and raised in Mumbai, as she has been a VJ and also a part of the Disney Channel shows; Best of Luck Nikki (2011) and The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir (2012). Tara dons many hats besides acting but she has always been creatively inclined.
While we all know that Tara is a trained classical ballet dancer and also underwent training in modern and Latin American dance forms from prestigious dance schools in the UK. She has also lent her voice for songs from famous films like Guzaarish, David and Taare Zameen Par. Apart from that she has also been doing stage shows. She has also been the face of commercials like Safi etc.
But not many are aware that Tara is a professional opera singer and has sung in operas. She has been singing since she was only 7 years old. She has also impressed the audience by singing Ave Maria by Franz Schubert. She even composes her own songs. Tara is a complete package, she can sing, dance, act, and composes music too!
Tara became popular when she was just a teenager, and she appeared on the reality TV show titled, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. She sang Pal Pal Har Pal from Lage Raho Munna Bhai, picturised on Vidya Balan and Sanjay Dutt, and then transitioned smoothly to The Phantom of the Opera. In the show the younger Tara revealed that she wanted to grow up to be a chef and a singer. But looks like destiny had something bigger planned for her.
She impressed the judges Farah Khan and Anu Malik with her performance. With Farah calling her a remarkable singer and Anu Malik said she had a potential to become an international star! Well, the real test for Tara is her upcoming debut film, Student Of The Year 2.
