It was heartwarming to see the Kapoor Khandaan in full attendance at the first trailer launch of the hugely anticipated Dhadak starring Sridevi’s beautiful older daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s baby brother Ishaan Khattar. The whole Kapoor clan including Anil Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor along with his wife Maheep and son, and daughter, Janhvi’s younger sister Khushie and others were present to support Janhvi. While Boney sat in the front row and didn’t take his eyes off his daughter even for a second, he looked every bit the proud father while his daughter looked to him for reassurance every time she spoke. My heart absolutely went out to the father and daughter duo.

Janhvi looked gorgeous and poised even though she admitted that she was very nervous. That’s very natural as this was the first time she was facing the media. Soft-spoken and absolutely polite, Janhvi answered all the questions asked with confidence. She did, however, tear up when she was asked questions about her mother Sridevi.

Speaking about her mother, Janhvi said that the only tip her mother gave her was to work hard and give it her best. One could feel her choking when she said, “My mother always told me to work hard and give everything I do my very best and feel all the emotions. I am trying my best to do that.” Sitting with the audience, Boney gestured Janhvi to wipe her tears while Karan Johar offered her a hanky and Janhvi took a seconds’ break to compose herself. She bravely controlled her tears while the audience teared up! It was a very heart-wrenching moment.

Speaking about her character Janhvi said,”Parthvi my character is very different from the Sairat Archi and I have tried to work hard and do my best. We did a lot of readings and Shashank helped me a lot.”
Janhvi also shared that she watched Sairat with her mother and while watching the film Janhvi told her mother that she wished her debut film could be something like Sairat to which her mother replied that she too wished the same.”I watched Sairat with my mom and told her I wish this would be my debut film and she also said yes I too wish your first would be something like Sairat.”
They say when you wish for something with a true heart, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. Janhvi’s mom Sridevi surely seems to have done that for her daughter. Janhvi is going to be the next big star! Dhadak looks like a blockbuster!
