Well the spice never seems to end in B town. The very pretty Dilwale star, Kriti Sanon, found herself amidst some bizarre controversy post her shoot for Cosmopolitan India. The cover photo, the shooting for which took place in a posh hotel in London, with a wildlife décor, showed Kriti standing against the prop of a giraffe hanging from the ceiling.
Quite obviously, it did not take long for the media to throw an outrage over it, and the cover ended up getting mixed responses, mostly negative ones. Cosmopolitan India’s August issue has sparked up quite a huge amount of controversy. People have commented against the picture no sooner it was posted on Instagram. Some people took it a step further, tagging the official PETA page, saying it was an outrageous post and that it ought to be taken down immediately.

People have shamed her for agreeing to do this shoot, people have called it cruelty against animals in the name of fashion, and some hyper sensitive people have also gone as far as to say that the Bareilly Ki Barfi star should apologize to the entire animal kingdom, looking for a justification behind this “outrageous” post. Though indeed this post can infuriate animal lovers who have never shied away from protesting against the injustice done to animals, Cosmopolitan India did come up with a justification which was plausible enough to answer all the questions raised against it.
Taxidermy, or the art of sustaining an animal which died of natural causes or for academic purposes is featured by Anyhoe Park, the hotel where the shooting had taken place. Cosmopolitan India has also confirmed that the giraffe which was seen in the picture was floating, with balloons tied on its back. It was, however much it may have appeared to be, not hanging.
Kriti who is known to be a charming, bubbly and pretty actor, has never been known to lash out unreasonably. But this time she did seem to have reached the end of her tether. The responses really did upset her, especially the ones which had to do with atrocities against women. She is seen wearing a pair of unconventionally glossy silver trousers, paired with a black high neck top, and sexy black stilettos.
