After getting stuck with CBFC, Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi is all set to release. At a recent interview with HFT, the Nawab of Pataudi who seemed to be an unusually good mood speaks about the film and how important it is to market the films well today.

The title was earlier Kaalagandi which means black bum!

Saif says that Kaalakaandi is a satisfying film for him, it has something for everyone. He adds, “ I know It sounds like I am trying to sell it but it is a film that makes you laugh and cry, it has drama, action and is also very relatable. I am proud of it. I am happy I did it people will enjoy this film.” He also jokes about how the title was earlier Kaalagandi which means black bum!

Talking about the release date and marketing Saif feels that release dates are very important, holidays help to get the audience to the theater. He had only one film in his career that was released on a holiday. He says,“I wish I would have more holiday releases. But they all are taken usually by other films. Race 2 released on a holiday and it had an opening of 12-13 crore.” Similarly, he feels that marketing is also important for a film, it’s important, people want to see the trailer, the poster. “If people see actors running around from one TV show to another promoting their films, that’s because it is important for people to see and decide if they want to watch the film.,” adds Saif.

Saif feels putting pictures on Instagram is kind of showing off!

Saif who has stayed away from social media unlike so many of his contemporaries, on being questioned about the same Saif said, “I like to live in the real world.I am wary of the digital world, people are losing the art of conversation. Also, things like putting pictures up on Instagram and all I feel is like showing off! What do I write? This is my house in Pataudi, this is my horse, this is my son! Having said that the love you give Taimur is very kind so far, but let’s see once later!“ I also don’t take being a nawab very seriously other than taking care of the property. I’d rather be an actor than a Nawab.

HFT wishes him All the Best for Kaalakaandi!
