Come October and we will see yet another debut actor from Salman Khan Productions. Aayush Sharma, the latest actor to be launched by Salman Khan, is all set for the release of his debut film, Loveratri in October, this year.

While it might seem like it was all a cake walk for Aayush to get this break because he is Salman’s little sister Arpita Khan’s husband, it really wasn’t as easy as it looks. Salman is known to be a tough taskmaster when it comes to choosing his actors. He chooses his protagonists quite carefully and family connections do not come in the way of his decisions, even though he is known to be big-hearted and always lends a helping hand to family, friends and people in need. As Bobby Deol also mentioned earlier that Salman was responsible for giving him the break in Race 3 and how grateful he was for that, as he had been going through a tough phase professionally prior to that.

Speaking about working with Salman, Aayush says, “Salman Bhai was very certain that he wouldn’t give me a film till the time he didn’t feel that I’m ready to face the camera. When I decided I wanted to seriously pursue a career in films, he told me, ‘Although you were not born into a film family, you will still face the expectations that people have from an actor from a film family.’”

Aayush who had no connection with the film industry prior to his marriage with Arpita lacked the experience and didn’t have the exposure that other actors who come from filmy families have, so like any other struggling actor, Aayush too had to put in a lot of hard work for the film. “Salman Bhai put me on a strict training programme. I’d train for some 13 hours a day. It would include gymnastics, action, acting, diction, dance. I trained like this for four years,” says Aayush.

Aayush was given the role after going through four years of rigorous training. “Abhiraj (Minawala, director) approached me for Loveratri only after I had gone through four years of training. He felt I’d be able to do justice to the character. Salman Bhai heard the film’s story and decided that it’s the perfect film for my debut. I was at last lucky enough for an opportunity to face the camera,” adds Aayush.

Aayush also assisted on a few movies before attempting acting himself. He said “I was very lucky to be a part of films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, and Tubelight, It really helped me to get used to the set environment and understand filming. I enjoyed this a lot.”

Loveratri releases on 5 October 2018.
