Sushant Singh Rajput once ruled the small screen with his role in Pavitra Rishta. That was until he got his big break on the big screen with Kai Po Che. That was just the beginning of bigger things to come! With Shuddh Desi Romance he proved his talent and capabilities as a Bollywood actor one more time and he never returned to the small screen after that.
The latest we hear is that Sushant has been signed by none other than the Dangal director, Nitesh Tiwari for his next film. Though no official statements have been made so far, we hear that they begin shooting for the same around May- June this year.

Sushant’s first film Kai Po Che was directed by Abhishek Kapoor and was based on Chetan Bhagat’s book called Three Mistakes Of My Life. Sushant not only got critical acclaim for his role in the film but film offers too started pouring in for him after that.

This movie was about live-in relationships which was a new subject then. The older generation responded negatively to this movie, while the millennials loved it! Besides Sushant, Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra were also a part of the film.
Detective Byomkesh Bakshi

In this movie, Sushant tried his hand at playing a detective’s role or we can say he attempted a thriller. This movie is based on a fictional character from the book written by Bengali novelist, Sharadindu Bandopadhyay. While the film did not do as well as expected, Sushanth did a great job in the film.
Sushant has a lineup of interesting films coming up, Kedarnath, Chanda Mama Door Ke, and Drive are some of the films that Sushanth is working on at the moment.
We could say that Sushanth is a star in the making and he’s worked his way up hard with no filmy background or godfather in the industry!
