Valentine’s Day saw the two “womaniyas” of Bollywood, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar take to Instagram sharing a curious and interesting picture of the two them clad in ghagras and holding a gun in one hand while making a heart sign with the other hand. Now that is some real Valentine’s Day surprise for one and all. Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming project is titled Saand Ki Aankh and it will be depicting the life story of the two oldest shooters from Uttar Pradesh, Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar. Bhumi and Taapsee, the two talented heroines of Bollywood will be stepping into the shoes of these two legendary shooters, and our excitement knows no bounds and we cannot wait for the trailer to unravel.

Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Chandro Tomar is eighty seven years old, and owns more than thirty national championships. Prakashi Tomar, who is Chandro’s sister-in-law, is the world’s second oldest shooter. The team of Saand Ki Aankh took to Twitter to inform the netizens about this amazing movie. The picture had Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu pose with the two shooter dadis, holding gold medals in their hands. Taapsee had an interesting caption to the picture, which said, “mane na dikhti chidiya ki aankh, mane to saand ki aankh dikhe hai”.

The movie Saand Ki Aankh will be produced by Reliance Entertainment and directed by Tushar Hiranandani, who has been the writer of films like Grand Masti and Ek Villain. Saand Ki Aankh will be Tushar’s directorial debut.
Saand Ki Aankh will also see Vineet Kumar Singh playing a major role, and we cannot wait to see the cast together on the big screen. We are sure that the movie based on the lives of the two octogenarians will open up the eyes of the society to the fact that women can do a lot more than they are thought capable of, and Bhumi and Taapsee will definitely be a treat to the eyes.
