Shruti Hassan is predominantly a Tamil, Telugu actress and even singer who also works in Hindi movies. The daughter of veteran actor Kamal Hassan, she a familiar tug to all of our hearts, like her father did. Shruti Hassan has been venerated with a lot of awards and she is now one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema.

Her debut movie was the Bollywood thriller Luck where she was cast opposite Imraan Khan. Her body of commercially successful hindi films is small but includes some of the recent hits like Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Gabbar is Back and Welcome Back. She has played the female lead in five Bollywood movies.

From her cameo appearance in Hey Ram directed by Kamal Hassan, there has been no turning back. She played leads in many Tamil and Telugu movies including 7aum Arivuand Anaganaga o Dheerudu for which she won a filmfare award. Her career graph was lull during 2011-12 following the release of “Oh my Friend”. But Gabbar Singh, Yevaduand Balupu were massive hits.

Sabaash Naidu, a tamil movie which juxtaposes action/comedy and is directed by TG Rajeev Kumar, set to release in May 2018. It is one of those spy-comedy-adventure movies that you have to get your hands on. Kamal Hassan plays the role of a character in the movie, who is a spinoff of one of the characters which he played in Dasavathaaram- Balram Naidu. The movie also stars Ramya Krishnan. Ilaiyaraaja is the music composer and Jaya Krishna Gummadi is in charge of cinematography. The movie is likely to be released in three different languages- Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Yaara
Starring Vidyut Jamwal and Shruti Hasan, Yaara is another of her upcoming bollywood movies. It is an action-drama that will shine on the silver screen (hopefully), directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. It is a period drama that covers the time span extending from 1975 right up to the present day.
