Considering the huge amount of media glare that Bollywood celebrities enjoy, it is difficult to always be politically correct. Several times, celebrities have had a foot in the mouth moment that became quite embarrassing for them.

During film promotions and other events, they are often egged by the media to give out juicy quotes and that has happened with quite a lot of celebs.

1. Salman Khan’s ‘Rape Woman’ Comment

During the promotions of Sultan, Salman made a big blunder of describing his state after the film’s rigorous work-out sequences as feeling like a ‘raped woman’. He said, “When I used to walk out of the ring after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight.” Naturally, this called for a lot of backlash and the actor later tried to clarify how he was wrong in saying that.

2. Sonam Kapoor On Deepika Padukone’s Fashion Sense

After the much talked about episode of Koffee With Karan where Sonam Kapoor took a dig at Deepika Padukone saying ‘she lacks personal style’, the actress regretted saying it. She later clarified that she won’t be commenting on anyone’s fashion choices anymore.

3. Varun Dhawan On Chanting ‘Nepotism Rocks’

Varun Dhawan recently won the award for best actor in a comic role at IIFA 2017. Whilst receiving the award hosts Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan made a dig at KanganaRanaut’s ‘nepotism claims’ and played a joke out of it. The trio chanted ‘Nepotism rocks’. Later, Varun Dhawan took to Twitter to apologize for this.

4. Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Affair With Pope’ Comment

At the very beginning of the Hrithik Roshan-Kangana Ranaut tussle, the actor had reacted to her claims of being her ex. In his reply, Hrithik had written “There are more chances of me having had an affair with the pope than any of the wonderful women media has been naming. Thanks but no thanks.” This called for a lot of hurting religious sentiments and the actor was charged with a criminal notice for it. He later posted an apology on the same.

5. Priyanka Chopra’s Insurgency In Sikkim Statement

Priyanka Chopra who has recently turned producer to various regional films also had a Sikkimese film under her production. In an interview discussing the same, she said, “This is a Sikkimese film. Sikkim is a small state in the Northeast of India which never had a film industry or anyone who made films from there. And this is the first film ever that’s come out of that region because it’s very troubled with insurgency and troubling situations.” Naturally, this called for a lot of flak from social media and later she realized her mistake and wrote an apology letter to the ministry.
