India has been admired by many big names of the western world, not only for business and talent, but also for the enigmatic charm and warmth it exudes. Justin Trudeau, the Prime minister of Canada, has come to India this Saturday (17th February, 2018) on a week-long official trip, with his entire family, including his wife and three kids. In a very good gesture to embrace our culture and traditions, we have seen Trudeau and his family have been seen joining hands for a “Namaste” and sporting our traditional attires like a sherwani, salwar kurta, saree and lehenga choli and we can’t deny that they look charming in our desi attires.

Although there’s news doing rounds about the Indian government and our Prime Minister giving Trudeau a cold-shoulder, Trudeau has received a very warm welcome from by our B-town celebs in Mumbai on Tuesday (20th February, 2018). Justin was elated to meet the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan. Justin’s tweet found him very happy to have met and discussed opportunities about co-production with Shahrukh Khan.

On another tweet today, Justin has also thanked Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan for joining the same event, which celebrated Canadian and Indian cinema. While both SRK and Aamir Khan stuck to their favorite blacks, Trudeau looked splendid in an intricately woven golden sherwani. Trudeau’s family was also seen carrying off Indian traditional outfits with much grace and his wife Sophie looked gorgeous in her self-worked off-white saree.

Trudeau’s kids Xavier and Ella looked equally charming at the event which was named “Canada-India – A Celebration of Film”. Trudeau has also visited the Taj Mahal in Agra on Saturday itself and on his tweet he has mentioned that he had visited the monument almost 35 years ago, when he was of the age of his eldest son Xavier. He also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar and the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad with his family. Speaking about his visits to these places, Trudeau pointed out, how his motif was to show the “extraordinary diversity of India”. Trudeau will probably meet our Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi on the 23rd of February 2018.
