A lot has happened in Tollywood in the past few days when the Aravind 2 actress Sri Reddy spoke about casting couch and threatened to name all those who are involved. The actress even went on to say that this is something very common in the industry and almost 90% actresses have faced it but are scared to open up about it. She even claimed that one cannot make it big in the industry unless they give in to the demands.
Recently, she accused the top director Sekhar Kammula of being involved the racket. She even raised questions like why is it that Telegu women are not given important roles in Tollywood. The actress has blamed the director of roaming around her house and asking for video calls. She has even blamed him for extorting money from male artists.

Sekhar Kammula understood the hint and reacted to the allegations aggressively by threatening legal actions against the actress if she does not apologize. The director claimed that he was falsely accused of sexually harassing the girl as he did not even know her personally and never met her. In a series of tweets that were meant to rubbish the allegations, the director said that this has caused terrible grief to his family and friends and that he has always been a supporter of women empowerment and equality.
Sri Reddy is a Telegu actor whose last film Aravind2hit the theaters in 2013 and after the incident has been even rumored to receive two offers in Teja’s films Nandamuri Balakrishna and Venkatesh. The director has also supposedly asked other filmmakers to help her in her career.
The actress has definitely become a sensation and a household discussion post her interview in the local Telegu channel which has created a ripple effect and earned a lot of reactions from all over the industry. What will happen next and how ugly these battles and allegations will get, only time can tell.
