The release of Thugs Of Hindostan is just around the corner. It’s that one movie everyone(including me) is looking forward to. One it’s a Yash Raj Films release and two coz it has two of the biggest stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan sharing screen space for the first time and three this will be Aamir’s Diwali release after almost 22 years! His last Diwali release as an actor was Raja Hindustani which was one of the biggest blockbusters of the time.

So far as an actor Aamir has had only two releases on Diwali, Andaz Apna Apna in 1994, followed by Raja Hindustani in 1996. While as a producer he released Secret Superstar on Diwali last year but even though Aamir did have a role to play in the film, he wasn’t the star of the film, the film was about a young girl aspiring to become a singer.
Thugs of Hindostan is officially Aamir’s third Diwali release. Diwali has been unlucky as well as lucky for Aamir. While Andaz Apna Apna did not do great at the box office, Raja Hindustani was one of the biggest hits and Secret Superstar was above average at the box office.

Speaking about his upcoming release on Diwali after a gap of 22 years, Aamir told Hot Friday Talks that he is very happy that Thugs Of Hindostan is releasing on Diwali and he hopes it will weave the same magic that Raja Hindustani did 22 years ago.
Interestingly both the films have one thing in common, the word Hindostan! So let’s hope that Thugs Of Hindostan too will be a huge hit!
