6. Who Killed The Mockingbird

7. The Catcher In The Rye

A favorite of Bill Gates, this is the story of a 16 year old boy who leaves his prep school and goes underground in New York for three days. This coming-of-age novel by J. D. Salinger, has many voices that speak directly to someone who is impaled by the city noise and finds it difficult to express his thoughts.
