All of us have our smartphones full of online shopping apps, don’t we? It saves us time and energy and provides us with a lot more variety when using these apps to shop. But like every other good thing, this has its downsides too. As it turns out, it’s not just us who are the victims of online shopping mishaps wherein people get soap bars in place of phones and even rocks in place of some other item they ordered. Is it Amazon’s way of keeping its customers on the edge of their seat when they are expecting an order delivery? We don’t know. But it’s relieving to know that it’s not just us commoners who get scammed. Even Bollywood stars are targets to mis-deliveries.
Sonakshi Sinha recently turned to Twitter to address her online delivery nightmare with Amazon India. The actress had placed an order of Bose headphones which cost INR 18,000 and what she received wasn’t even remotely close to what she ordered. Hiding in well-packed Bose boxes were rusted iron pieces! Yes, you read that right. Makes us wonder what Amazon was up to when it packed the order.

The Dabangg star resorted to Twitter to let Amazon know about her experience as reportedly, even the customer service was unwilling to help. Here is what the star tweeted: “Hey @amazonIN! Look what i got instead of the @bose headphones i ordered! Properly packed and unopened box, looked legit but only on the outside. Oh and your customer service doesn’t even want to help, that’s what makes it even worse.”
She followed this with yet another sarcastic jab, writing “Anybody want to buy a brand new shiny piece of junk for 18,000 bucks? (Yup, it’s a steal) Dont worry, I’m selling, not @amazonIN, so u’ll get exactly what you’re ordering.”
Pretty harsh, right? But considering her horrible experience, it was only fair given that it is high time India’s biggest online shopping website mends its ways. After all, which Ariana Grande or Drake song can one listen to using iron pieces!
As expected, the Twitterati soon jumped in on the ‘comments’ section of the tweet sharing their share of experiences and chastising Amazon for this horrendous mishap.
