Every day in our lives, we come across all kinds of people. Some our really smooth and easy while others are super difficult to handle. Those “difficult to handle” personalities can really be testing to be honest! Sometimes they can make you extremely frustrated with their behaviour. How do you deal with such people? Is instant disgust and block the right way to respond? Maybe not!
Most people who tend to be difficult act like that for a very specific reason. They could be very stressed because of their romantic relationship. They might have had a horrible day. They might even have suffered an incredible loss. The point being, you don’t know their story. You don’t know why they are behaving like that. Maybe if you did, you would be kinder. So, why not start from that place to begin with? KINDNESS!

You don’t want everyone in the world to become “difficult to handle”. Of course, not! If someone’s negative behaviour brings out the negativity in you, what’s even the point? It will only make things worse. You might end up starting a fight even! Who knows? But here is an alternative approach- Treat them with kindness! All you have to do is respond normally like you would to any other friendly person. Be kind to them and you will see how they will instantly calm down. Keep your smile intact and show that you care. Maybe even ask them why they are in such a bad mood. It is important for us to be compassionate in order to make this world a better place. You kind behaviour with one difficult person will go a long way in making them act kindly with someone else. You just helped change the world, imagine that!
Do Not Be Judgemental

Everyone comes from different backgrounds. You cannot judge anybody without knowing where they are coming from. All of us come from a background with different privileges. Keep that into account as well! Most importantly be a good listener and give them an opportunity to show you who they really are, deep behind all this anger and frustration.
Also remember that here will always be those who intentionally hurt others and act like a difficult person. You must always draw boundaries with such personalities.
