Finally, the girl who screamed to the world that she was ‘exotic’ and that the ‘angrezi babus’ had recognized her beauty and worth in her debut single Exotic, and who went on to get an apparently big role in an international television series is now back to her desi roots.
Last week, Priyanka Chopra met PM Narendra Modi yet again, but this time, her overall personality was way different from what it was the last time she met him.
This time unlike last time, she did not create a social media storm about how she had hurt the sensibilities of us Indians who carry our sense and sensibilities like loose change that can easily get spent at the drop of a hat, or a dress in this case.
The last time Priyanka Chopra had met the Indian PM was in the year 2017 in Berlin, where she was present to promote her movie Baywatch, and the PM was also at the same place on a four nation tour. At the time, Priyanka was pictured wearing a knee length dress with full sleeves, and she was sitting cross legged while speaking to the PM.

If you look at the picture, Mister Modi does not for a moment seem to be uncomfortable because of Priyanka wearing that dress. In fact, it doesn’t even look like he is looking at that dress of hers. Nor did he come back and issue a warning against anyone wearing a short dress when they come to meet him.
But our social media teachers and moralists weren’t so non-reactive, and of course they had to react by calling out to Priyanka for wearing such an inappropriate dress and meeting THE PRIME MINISTER (what paap she did na!).
So this time, the latest dusky export to the US from India did what the internet junta had earlier asked her to do – she sobered up in a full sleeved anarkali Indian suit.

With such a sober dress, she definitely made the trolls and the ‘sensible’ and moral laden Indians happy, but in the process, failed to create that Internet storm that these trolls feed on for their daily digestive dose.
Looking at the images I was just wondering though, that our PM didn’t seem to be checking out her legs, so why were the others so bothered, and also, what was her point to meet him in the first place while promoting Baywatch of all (duh!). And now, darling lady, if you’ve chosen to wear this dress out of your own will, great, you look superb as you already know, but if it’s to bow down to pressure, you have better things to do, you know that too 😉
