There’s a reason why only selected few friendships are given the tag and honour of being called the best ones. Because it is when you are best friends with someone, that you can be your most unfiltered self. The two of you (or more) understand each other SO WELL that you often end up talking weird shit that makes sense only to you. These weird things are all from hilarious to horrifying, but more than that, these things are the true reflection of your friendship. That’s the beauty of best friendship. Neologisms as we may call them, words that make no meaning can be invented to convey some of the inexplicable emotions that one wants to communicate. Best friends come to rescue when no one in the world understands what we mean to say. It is a feeling of relaxation that I needn’t explain the word or phrase I just used, and my best friend was able to turn his pages to be on mine. Then, for once I can release the pressure of being wordy, and s/he helps me stay with the emotions that need more care. One of my best friends uses “I’m feeling Ugh”, whenever she feels something intense and I respect her choice of not wanting to explain it. Such a bond is very patient with this kind of weirdness.
*Makes Eye Contact And Raise Eyebrow*

And well, sometimes we don’t even need to ACTUALLY say things! A well timed eye contact with a subtle eyebrow raise does it all. What does that mean? Oh, NOBODY KNOWS! It could be anything, depending on where they are and what they are doing. It could be a simple “What’s up?” or it could even be a “Will you drop me?” or it could also be “Why did you tell Bhavya about me and Kritika?”. Sometimes one smirk and one eye roll can convey paragraphs of conversation!
The possibilities here are endless! And that’s not even the weirdest thing about it. It is that no matter what, they will always understand what the other is trying to say. Telepathy? MAYBE!
Say Nothing At All
Sometimes you say nothing to each other and communicate everything. This is the power of the bond between best friends. That’s just how it is. You know each other inside out. Be it a simple mood swing or a complicated fight with your parents, they’ll know. You don’t have to say it. They’ll know something is wrong. Beautiful no? Best friendship is!
