This Is Why Deepika Is Getting Trolled Again

An overly judgmental mind and a smartphone – a recipe for trollism?

Very recently, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone went on to post a picture of her and her ex and co-star Ranbir Kapoor on a social media site. The picture that was from a movie they had both done together was shared as part of World Photography Day, but little did Miss Dee know the world of trolls it would land her in.

What Went Wrong?

To pinpoint what started it, netizens who saw the picture were quick to point out that since the news of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s soon to happen marriage this year was already doing the rounds, it was extremely wrong of the actress to put up a picture that had her ex in it. Wasn’t she supposed to forget about him and move on and only be Ranveer’s?

The picture that garnered major negative comments

Tough To Handle Sensible Relationships In These Times?

Take a look at the image and you will see that people started calling her names because she apparently ‘chose’ this time to get out an old pic of her and her ex, possibly in an attempt to garner back the attention towards her, especially as the other lady of the moment, namely a Miss Priyanka Chopra, was getting all the media and public attention, what with her new beau in tow. And to add to that, Ranveer Singh was even invited to Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s engagement party in town, whereas Deepika was conveniently ignored.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have kind of broken all set rules about what you should and should not do in a relationship. From being absolutely chilled out about each other and being comfortable in their own space, to showing no possessiveness, being comfortable around exes and being openly appreciative and proud of each other – the couple has been giving serious relationship goals to all.

But looks like once you add a smartphone in the hand of a judgmental mind, the kind of assumptions, stories, and comments that come out of a closed mind can give an already beautiful and lovely picture even more traction in the digital world.
