After a long, long time India and the Indians seem to be celebrating the josh for having done something really incredible. The IAF, that is, The Indian Air Force, gave a truly dhamakedaar reply to Pakistan by bombing a Pakistani terror camp, Jaish-e-Mohammed in the early hours of Tuesday. This came exactly twelve days after the Pulwama attack and the happiness of the Indians knew no bounds. It seemed as if revenge had been served hot for the gruesome atrocity that took the lives so many soldiers.

Now such a decisive and calculated attack deserves a lot of praise. Not only were the Indians seen running around the street with the Indian flag to express their endless patriotism, but there was a different level of josh. An auto driver from Delhi, named Manoj, was up for offering free auto rides to his passengers. He was obviously ecstatic as he even had a poster put up on his auto which said, “Free Free Free! Pulwama hamle ka badla lene ki khushi mein aaj iss auto mein free seva.” The poster also expressed deepest gratitude to our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. After all, the attack by India was indeed extremely well planned by our very own Modiji.

The celebrations did not stop there. Discounts were even offered on food products. A sweet shop in Rajkot seemed to be truly celebrating the occasion as he gave away free sweets to everyone after IAF’s attacks. It was truly a treat to the eyes to see the entire country united in celebrations, a rare sight, a sight which will be remembered for good.

However, when the entire country was busy celebrating, Mahavir Singh and Sonam Singh brought a new member into this world. They are the residents of Dabda Village from the Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The Singhs come from a long line of army men. Mahavir Singh and Sonam Singh named their son Mirage Singh Rathore, after the fighter jet Mirage 2000 that was used for the strike. The attacks took place at 3:27am on Tuesday morning and the miraculous Mirage was born at the auspicious hour of 3:50am. It was almost at the same hour when India accomplished the task of reducing the terrorist camps of Pakistan to ashes.

This was a unique way of saluting the Indian Air Force taken up by the couple who named their son after the fighter jet, which had a major role to play in destroying the terrorist camps in Pakistan. Mirage seems to be having the patriotic spirit deep in his veins not just because he was born at that auspicious hour, but also because his paternal uncle, Bhupendra Singh also works for the Indian Air Force and is placed in Nainital. In fact, the name Mirage was suggested by Bhupendra himself.

Proud as we are of India and her quick response to what happened, we also hope and pray that millions of Indian kids like Mirage also grow up to be tough fighters who can save their country from any sort of atrocity. After all, it is the shining youth who will be a “mirage” for India, quenching the country’s thirst for victory.
