Bungee workouts originated in Bangkok, Thailand, where a harness which is attached to a bungee cord hooked in the ceiling would be tied to your waist.

What Is Bungee Workout?

Even though it may not sound like a workout, Bungee Workout is actually a type of workout that mainly uses a dance form which is a combination of strength, cardio, flexibility and loads of fun, says Mukul.

As your bodyweight is suspended, you will feel as if you are flying and a lot of the movements that you try out like this in the workout will give you the feeling that you are flying.

Is It Intense?

Mukul explains that doing a push up or squats is pretty easy in bungee workouts, but when you combine a lot of movements back to back, it does become intense. As a result, it helps you to build on your strength, helps to burn a good amount of calories, lets you work on your core and also improves your flexibility, which makes Bungee workout a complete package.

Is This A Safe Workout?

Bungee workouts have low impact on the joints, explains Mukul. This makes it a very safe workout even for those who have weak joints or are prone to injuries.

To make sure that you are safe, it is important that you take your introductory class seriously. Your body is not used to the feeling of your body weight being suspended in the air, which can make it a bit challenging for you to do this at first.

No doubt this can be a really fun and intense workout, so if you do give it a shot, do it with the help of a qualified trainer who can help you get the best benefits without any risk of injury.
