While some movies make a great impact in our lives and some even change lives and then there are some films that touch a chord deep within and leave a great impact on society.

Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the best example of a film with a message on Unity in diversity. Salman Khan plays a Pucca Hindu a Hanuman bhakt who helps a speech-impaired girl (Harshaali) he finds wandering alone in the street. The film is about how he takes the effort to help the little girl get back home to her parents in Pakistan.The film highlights the importance of unity which is the most important aspect in uniting two countries. It also shows us how love and compassion have no caste, creed or religion.

Dangal

Dangal shows how women should not be underestimated and given a chance they can achieve anything

Dangal starring Aamir Khan is based on Commonwealth Gold Medalist Geeta Phogat and her father Mahavir Singh Phogat’s life. It’s the story about a father’s struggle to make his daughters the greatest wrestlers of the country. It touches upon a lot of issues like how women are treated in Haryana and also has shown cricket-crazy India that there are so many other sports and sportsmen and women that originated in India which are equally good and need to be highlighted. It also shows how women should not be underestimated and given a chance they can achieve anything.

Secret Superstar

Secret Superstar is another socially relevant film starring Aamir Khan. The film highlights several social problems that exist in our society. Secret Superstar is about how a girl from a conservative Muslim family becomes an internet singing sensation. It also deals with the issue of domestic violence. Another important highlight in the film is the power of digital media when the young singer’s ( played by Zaira Wasim) goes viral and she becomes a singing sensation overnight via her YouTube videos.

Pink deals with issues about the safety of women in our society

Pink explores the issues faced by independent women in a patriarchal society. This award-winning directed by Shoojit Sircar, that stars Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang, deals with issues about the safety of women in our society. It takes a dig at our society’s stereotypical norms and prejudices towards women. The film also gives a strong message to women about speaking up about such issues.

Airlift

The film highlights the true spirit of an Indian

Airlift starring Akshay Kumar is based on the true story of 1,70,000 Indians getting evacuated from Kuwait (which was home to a large number of Indian), during the attack by Iraq when Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi forces invaded Kuwait. The film is based on a real story about Mathunny Mathews, who was an Indian businessman in Kuwait who helped to evacuate Indians to safety during the Iraq and Kuwait war. The film highlights the true spirit of an Indian and how far he is willing to go to stand by his countrymen. Airlift’s story touched the hearts of each and every Indian.
