1.Sonam Kapoor plays a character that needs courage to play
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga will see Sonam, play a lesbian that too in the mainstream cinema space. Not many mainstream actresses would have the courage to play a character like that and for a subject that is still taboo, especially in our country where we are judged for every step we take and mindsets are still rustic and changing at the speed of bullock carts even though we drive fast cars! The role is challenging and we have seen how well Sonam has earlier played a challenging role in Neerja. Sonam is also one of the actresses who is never afraid of speaking her mind and who better than her to play a major part in this unusual love story.
2. Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor share screen space
Sonam and her father and actor Anil Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space for the first time ever. It will be great to watch this off screen father daughter duo play the same onscreen too! While there were speculations about the two playing father daughter in The Zoya Factor but Anil’s younger brother was roped in for the role. However this good looking father daughter duo will be one to watch out for in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga .

We’ve seen the young Anil Kapoor sing Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga in 1942 A Love Story and loved it, haven’t we? For those who haven’t here’s good news because they can get a glimpse of the still very young looking Anil Kapoor singing and dancing to this beautiful song in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga the film!
4.Who will be Sonam’s love interest in the film?
Yes, we can’t wait to know who will be playing the role of Sonam’s love interest, which is an equally challenging role. There are speculations that South Actress Regina Cassandra will be playing the part but the makers have not yet confirmed the same and we are eager to know!
5.It’s A Vidhu Vinod Chopra Film
Need we say more? When it’s a Vidhu Vinod Chopra film we can expect nothing short of brilliant. The film is produced by the master filmmaker himself and even though he’s not directing it, we know he leaves no stones unturned and his team on their toes (who would know better than yours truly! Having worked with the maverick filmmaker as an assistant) to give the audience an entertaining and world class film!
And then of course there’s Rajkummar Rao in the film too! We can’t wait for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga to release on 1 February, 2019.
