5 Most Romantic Yash Chopra Films For Every Romantic Soul

Nobody made romantic Hindi films like Yash Chopra, that’s the reason why he’s also known as the King of Romance in Bollywood. There are many who have fallen in love because of the Yash Chopra films and then there are those who are yet to find the ever romantic partner shown in most Yash Chopra movies. here’s a look at 5 of the most romantic movies we love to watch again and again:

1.Dil Toh Pagal Hain (1997)

This was a special film as Yash Chopra directed it after taking a break for almost five years. It was a not only a very modern-day film but also the Hindi film to be shot in Baden- Baden, Germany. Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karishma Kapoor played the lead role in the film.

2.Lamhe (1991)

Lamhe is proof that Yash Chopra was always way ahead of his times. Starring Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles, the film was about a girl falling in love with a man much older than her, a man who once loved her mother. A subject which was obviously not accepted at that time in our country. The film didn’t go down well with the audience but it was said to be one of Yash Chopra’s personal favorites and mine too! It was a typical Mills n Boons kind of a story about a young chirpy girl played by Sridevi who falls in love with a salt and pepper haired Anil Kapoor.

3.Chandni (1989)

This was an out and out commercial film and also one of the most successful films of all time. The story revolves around Chandni played by Sridevi who falls in love with Rohit played by Rishi Kapoor. Rohit meets with an accident just before they are to be married and the story takes a twist from there when Lalit (Vinod Khanna) comes into Chandani’s life.

4.Silsila (1981)

This again was another movie that was way ahead of its time. Said to be inspired by the famous love affair between Amitabh and Rekha, this film was a love triangle between Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rekha and interesting starred all of them in reel too. The film was also known for its brilliant music score.

5.Kabhi Kabhie (1976)

Another film known for its music; especially the ‘Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein’ song, it had an ensemble cast of Waheeda Rehman, real-life couple Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor, Rakhee, Amitabh Bachchan and Sashi Kapoor. The film was about two generations and the rekindling of old love.

Now that you have the list, how about getting cozy with your significant other on a movie date night?
