Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film Jabariya Jodi brings the two back together after the 2014 film Hasee Toh Phasee, after almost four years. According to Parineeti, this is one jodi and wedding no one should not miss besides sister Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming wedding of course!

Jabariya Jodi is all about “pakadwa vivaah” where the groom is kidnapped by the bride’s family and forced into marriage! Parineeti plays Babli and Siddharth plays Abhay and according to Parineeti, the two are an anokhi jodi. And if you’re thinking things like that still happen in the times of Tinder, Happn, Truly Madly etc. YES, it definitely does in certain parts of India.
What’s also interesting is that Javed Jaffrey is playing Siddharth’s father in the film. Javed apparently plays a badass gangster in the film.It was also Siddharth Malhotra who suggested the title of the film. So dedicated was Siddharth while shooting the film, that he even kept himself awake for two days while shooting a scene in the film only because he had to look tired and was supposed to faint in the scene.
Jabariya Jodi is being directed by Prashant Singh who was reported saying that shooting the film has been an eye-opener. Jabariya Jodi is co-presented by Balaji Telefilms and Karma Media Entertainment. The film also stars Aparshakti Khurrana as Parineeti Chopra’s friend, Chandan Roy Sanyal as Siddharth’s friend, Sanjay Mishra as her father, Neeraj Sood as Sanjay’s friend and Gopal Dutt as an inspector.
This jodi sure is a jabardast one to watch out for!
