Disney movies that made our childhood sweeter

Children's day can be for the child within us right?

Disney movies that made our childhood sweeter

Walt Disney movies are a part of our growing up, out memories from childhood and some have even probably shaped our lives. What day to recollect those memories than Children’s Day today.

Let’s go back to our childhood with a list of some of the movies we all loved as kids, and re-visit our childhood.

The Lion King

The Lion King

This was a blockbuster and the song Hakuna Matata was almost like an anthem for the generation who watched this wonderful film. What the film taught us was to chose out battles carefully and also Hakuna Matata, taught us how fretting and worrying is not a solution.

Aladdin

Aladdin

An animated version of a timeless classic, the film taught us how lying gets us nowhere and also encouraged loyalty and friendship. In other words it opened up a ‘A Whole New World’ for us! Yes, am happily humming that song as I write this.

Toy Story

Toy Story

One of my favorites, a film I can watch even today. While the Toy Story 4 is slated to release in 2019, the previous ones, especially the first one was very interesting. If there’s one thing I think all of us learned from the film, it was to stand up for what you believe in.

Peter Pan

Peter Pan

Another classic told in animation by Disney, this is one film that brings out the child in all of us. A boy who never wants to grow up (don’t we all?). It teaches us how being carefree and playful is important while growing up is inevitable.

Little Mermaid

Little Mermaid

I was always fascinated by mermaids as a child and this was one film that further fuelled my curiosity. The film showed us how that our parents are always there for us no how what situation we might get into, they always have our backs. And of course the love story between Ariel and Prince Eric was sweet.

101 Dalmatians

101 Dalmatians

A movie every dog lover will relate to. The film is cute and even though the villain Cruella de Vil is just that; cruel, her antics are great fun to watch.

Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo

Though the latest one from the series is Finding Dory, Nemo will always be a favourite. The biggest life lesson learnt from the film was to never be afraid to leave your comfort zone.

Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh

Pooh’s wisdom inspires us even today. There are many many life lessons we can learn from this absolutely lovable bear but the one that has stayed with me is to live in the moment.

Hope you enjoy re-watching these animated movies again and keep the child in you alive!
