The much-awaited first teaser and poster of the Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath is finally out and it looks absolutely intriguing!
The teaser opens with the sound of temple bells and a dark gloomy day and as the camera moves forward, we see visuals of an angry flood, more of a deluge with humans and animals being washed away with a warning written in Hindi that says “Iss saal karenge prakriti ke krodh ka saamna”( This year we shall face the wrath of nature). The warning is apt for today’s changing climate and the way nature has been showing us how it can get back to all the wrongdoings by humans.
However, Kedarnath is set on the 14 km of pilgrimage from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and is based on the 2013 Uttarakhand Floods that caused a lot of destruction in the area. Sushant and Sara play Mansoor and Mukku. Mansoor is a porter who lives in Uttarakhand with his widowed mother and helps pilgrims make the journey to Kedarnath. When masoor and Mukku meet their lives change forever. It’s all about love in the time of tragedy. The visuals of Kedarnath are stunning!
After a number of controversies, the film is finally releasing and fans will get to watch debutant Sara Ali Khan on the big screen. In the glimpses we get of Sara in the teaser, she looks absolutely stunning, fresh and raw, almost like her mother actress Amrita Singh did in her debut film Betaab. Sushant Singh looks good too but all eyes are sure to be glued on Sara!
Kedarnath is directed by Abhishek Kapoor who has earlier directed films like Rock On and Kai Po Che and produced by RSVP and Guy in the Sky Pictures. Kedarnath releases on 7 December 2018.
