There’s good news for all the horror buffs in 2018 as the list of horror movies lined up for release in 2018 is very exciting. Here’s a list of some of the ones to look forward to.
SLICE
Slice involves the murder of a pizza delivery guy and was secretly filmed in 2016 by recording artist and Grammy winner Chance the Rapper. In addition to Chance, the movie will also star Zazie Beetz from the TV show Atlanta and Deadpool 2 and is directed by Austin Vesely, who made some of Chance’s music videos. The film is said to be one of those offbeat kinds of horror films.
The Strangers: Prey At Night
The prequel, The Strangers, was a huge success and all those who have liked that film have something to look forward to soon!The Strangers: Prey at Night, starring Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, and Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks, is slated to release in 2018. The film is about a family that travels to a mobile home park to stay with some relatives, the place is deserted. Three masked men terrorize them and the family has to fight back to survive.
A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place is directed by John Krasinski but what is interesting is that he stars in the film too along with his real-life spouse, Emily Blunt. The two play a couple living with their family in an isolated location. They have to live their lives in absolute silence as there’s some kind of supernatural menace outside their home that pounces whenever it hears noise! Sounds scary, isn’t it?
New Mutants
New Mutants is a spinoff of the X-Men franchise and it follows five young mutants who are held against their will in a secret place.The only way for them to escape is to jointly use their individual powers. The is directed by The Fault in Our Stars fame director, Josh Boone and features Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams), Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Sunspot (Henry Zaga), Cannonball (Charlie Heaton) and Mirage (Blu Hunt). This is a film to look forward to!
Cloverfield 3

Like it’s prequels, Cloverfield 3 is also wrapped in secrecy! While no one knew about the original Cloverfield until the teaser was released that too without a title! Then a couple of years later came 10 Cloverfield Lane with the same amount of secrecy and now it’s Cloverfield 3 that is all set to hit the screens in 2018. There is very little that has been revealed about the film except that the story is about a group of astronauts fighting a threat and stars Elizabeth Debicki, Chris O’Dowd, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built
This will see Helen Mirren in a horror movie as Sarah Winchester, a mentally disturbed firearm heiress who builds a house containing hundreds of rooms, meant to be an asylum for ghosts and she thinks that she’s being haunted by the spirits of those killed with the rifle her family had manufactured. The film is based on a true story.
Devil’s Gate
Devil’s Gate directed by debut director is about an FBI agent sent to the tiny town of Devil’s Gate, North Dakota to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a woman and her son. True to its name, Devil’s Gate is will bring several different types of horror together and said to be a spine-chilling experience!
Slaughterhouse Rulez

A horror comedy genre, Slaughterhouse Rulez is about an elite boarding school for rich kids, and a new student from a less wealthy background, who has to cope with mean fellow students. When a sinkhole opens up on the school grounds, the entire social order is thrown into chaos!
The House With A Clock In Its Walls
The House with a Clock in its Walls directed by Eli Roth is an adaptation of the popular children’s book by John Bellairs starring Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, and Kyle MacLachlan. 10-year-old Lewis Barnavelt (Owen Vaccaro), moves into his uncle’s unusual creepy old house.The house has a ticking clock hidden somewhere within it. Lewis soon discovers that his uncle is a warlock, the next-door-neighbor is a witch, and the home’s previous owners had an evil plan to bring about the end of the world and the clock has something to do with it! Interesting, isn’t it?
The Midnight Man
The Midnight Man is about teenagers who discover a mysterious box in the attic of an elderly woman’s home. Inside is a set of instructions for something called The Midnight Game. They decide to play the game and the rest is for you to guess!! The film is slated to release on 19 January.
Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich is about a divorced man who brings a doll he found in his dead brother’s house to a puppet convention. Not surprising though that the doll causes a bloody chaos! Dolls in horror films have always given us creeps!
