Kangana Ranaut And Hrithik Roshan To Battle It Out In July!

Kangana or Hrithik, Who do you think will win?

Looks like the Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan saga is never ending! After the back and forth sending of distasteful emails and the numerous open letters to each other, the two will be back warring once again at the theaters!

Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms has confirmed that its upcoming film Mental Hai Kya, starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao, will be released on 26 July, and call it coincidence or whatever, her ex beau, Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film Super 30 is also slated to release on the exact same day!( In true Pammi aunty style I’d say, “Lo karlo baat!” )

Mental Hai Kya was originally slated to release on 21June

It’s but obvious that tongues start wagging when its a Kangana and Hrithik issue and people start wondering whether it was a coincidence or a well planned move. Well, according to Ekta, the decision had been made after taking ‘recommendations from the distributors, trade analysts and a top research team’.Though she did not mention anything about Super 30 directly, but stated that both teams were involved with the decision making process, and she hoped there would be no mud-slinging.

Mental Hai Kya was originally slated to release on 21 June, had that happened, it would clash with Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh. What is also making people talk about Kangana deliberately trying to change her release date to clash it against Super 30, is firstly, the long history of their personal animosity, and secondly, the fact that earlier too Kangana set her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi up against Hrithik’s Super 30 on 26 January, which was the original date of release for Super 30, but the Hrithik Roshan-starrer got delayed, since the film’s director Vikas Bahl’s name was involved in #MeToo movement for alleged sexual assault case. But now the war is on once more.

The makers of Super 30 in their Twitter post clearly stated that they would not change the release date from 26 July to August. They said, “There is no change in the release date of Super 30. The film will hit screens on July 26, 2019.” Soon after the tweet by Reliance Entertainment, Balaji Telefilms too posted the above notice on Twitter! A little birdie also tells us, it was Kangana who pushed the release date to clash with Super 30, since she wanted a face-off with Hrithik at the theaters!

Mental Hai Kya is a quirky crime comedy, while Super 30 is a biopic based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, we say both the films will get their respective audience. So why fight? Take a chill pill!.
