Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, and Shashank Khaitan will soon be back again with their new venture Rannbhoomi. The trio’s last film together was Badrinath Ki Dulhania which was one of the biggest hits of the year.

While Badrinath Ki Dulhania was a romance, Rannbhoomi is said to be a war-film as announced by Karan on Twitter and Instagram. However, the film will have a bit of romance but is more of an action revenge film with glimpses of sacrifice and heroism too.
According to sources, the film is also said to be one of the biggest budget films and will star some of the biggest names in the industry. This will the first war film for Varun, who has mostly been seen in romcoms so far.
According to reports, the idea of the film was conceived in December 2015!
Karan took to his twitter to share the news along with a photo of the three. He wrote, “So proud to announce #RANNBHOOMI …@ShashankKhaitan and @Varun_dvn take a giant leap in their third offering together! A solid spectacle with a beating heart!!! DIWALI 2020 release! Remaining lead cast to be announced soon!”

While Varun is currently busy with the shoot of YRF’s Sui Dhaaga in which he stars along with Anushka Sharma as the lead pair and is also gearing up for his upcoming release, Shoojit Sircar’s October, Shashank is busy with the shoot of his underproduction film, Dhadak starring Jhanvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar.
It will be interesting to watch Varun fight a war and do some action, what say?
