Know All About Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone

Everyone has been talking about Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju based on actor Sanjay Dutt’s life, there is another biopic that has been making the headlines lately, that of Karenjit Kaur aka Sunny Leone! The Jism 2 actor gives an insight into her life through Zee5’s web series Karenjit Kaur – The untold story of Sunny Leone.

The web series will trace Sunny’s journey from being a porn star to a Bollywood star. The web series will also reveal a big secret behind the change in her name from Karenjit to Sunny Leone. The web series also touches upon her relationship with her elder brother, Sunny who she shares a very close bond with. He was also the first one to know about her secret career. The two have grown closer after their parents’ death.

Speaking at the launch of the web series Sunny said, “It’s my story, a story that we told and I’ve tried to be as honest as possible and tried to show what my life is like.” She also added that the idea was not hers but it was other people who told her that her story needed to be told to the world.

However, Sunny did not want all the aspects of her life to be told .”There was a lot that I didn’t want to be a part of this film. There was a lot of laughs and lot of tears while I narrated my story,” said Sunny.

Sunny posted a picture on her social media account and captioned it; “Why did I move from Canada? Why did I pick “#Sunny” as my name? What was my life like? While her fans are excited about the web series, shooting the whole web series was not very easy for Sunny. She said, “I had an emotional outburst on the sets every day. In the first season you get to know our parents and in the second season we say bye to them and it’s very hard.” The most emotional scene for Sunny was the one where she tells her parents about her secret career and her father breaks down on hearing it. “There was this scene where I tell my parents what I did and I see my father breaking down. I just couldn’t deal with the emotions and broke down myself. Thankfully Daniel (her husband Daniel Weber) was on the set and he handled me. It was really difficult and now that both my parents have passed away,” revealed Sunny.

Sunny also says that even though people might talk badly about her she never saw herself as a victim but rather a soft target. Karenjit Kaur – The untold story of Sunny Leone started streaming from July 16 on Zee5.
