Mammootty To Go Shah Rukh Khan’s Way For A Film By Sohan Seenulal

While Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, where he plays a dwarf, is gearing up for release, actor Mammootty has been signed to play a dwarf too for a film to be directed by Sohan Seenulal.

Sohan and Mammootty will be getting together again after Doubles which was Sohan’s debut film as a director and this time around, Mammootty will be seen as a dwarf. The film does not have a title as yet but pre-production on the film has already begun.

Apparently, Mammootty’s character in the film will have a mysterious nature and will appear in three get-ups. It will be interesting to see Mammootty in the role of a dwarf. Earlier too actor Kamal Haasan played a dwarf in the Tamil movie Apoorva Sahotharargal, which was later made in Hindi as Appu Raja. We’ll have to wait a while to watch Mammootty in that avatar.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh’s dwarf character from Zero, Bauua Singh, is making waves on the internet. Shah Rukh and his character Bauua Singh also had an interesting exchange on Twitter recently. While Bauua tweeted claiming that SRK has copied his style but needs to improve his game; “Arre bhai Sharukh @iamsrk! Meri mummy ne aaj aapko bahut bada compliment diya! Boli aap mere jaise dikhten hain!!!!???? humne kaha haan dimple toh same hai par dressing sense apna thoda theek karo guru!!!”

Shah Rukh sportingly replied, “@BauuaSingh meri mummy kehti thi aadmi kapde banata hai, kapde aadmi ko nahi! Aapki DP dekh ke lagta hai ki saat janam mein bhi mera dressing sense aap sa nahi ho payega.Baaki dimples hain mere aapke jaise, uske liye thanks! Tum bahut Kachhe insaan!! oops, Achhe insaan lagte ho!”

Besides this new film that he has just signed, which will go on floors soon this year, Mammootty is busy with a slew of projects including the Telugu flick Yathra which is a biopic on the late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekar Reddy and he also has a number of Malayalam movies like Peranbu, Madura Raja and Mamankkam. There are reports that Mammootty might also team up with director Vinod Vijayan for a venture.

We’re sure Mammootty fans who have always seen him as a typical hero will be excited to watch him in a completely different avatar.
