Namaste England Movie Review: Predictable And Tedious

Arjun and Parineeti Chopra look great together in the film but lack chemistry

Namaste England is about Param (Arjun Kapoor) and Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra) who fall in love and get married. Jasmeet is an ambitious girl and that’s where the trouble all begins ( Isn’t that the story of most married Indian girls who aspire to work post marriage and most Indian men who can’t except it!). So Jasmeet has dreams of going to London to pursue her career but Param who at first is not ready to accept that, but later wants to join her in London but isn’t able to get a visa and that’s when the drama begins.

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Image

Even though Namaste England does have an underlying message, the script could have been better. There is nothing new to see in the film, it’s the same old boy meets girl, they fall in love, get married and problems start. In today’s times, the story is pretty regressive even though such things do exist in many parts of India where women are not allowed to have a job or work outside.

Some parts of Namastey England lack logic

The first half of the film is too long and even though there is a twist in the story in the interval, the second half lacks logic and is over the top. The story is predictable and uninspiring even though Arjun and Parineeti Chopra look great together in this film too but they lack the chemistry that we saw in Ishaqzaade.

Watch it at your own risk!
