All Akshay Kumar fans were eagerly waiting for the release of Padman on 25 January, along with Padmavat, but now it looks like they will have to wait a few more weeks to watch Akshay and Sonam Kapoor’s Padman.
While the makers have not made any official announcement, a source from the film trade spoke to HFT and confirmed the same, adding that while it is true, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the same. “Yes, that’s the buzz that the film is being postponed to 9 February but the makers of Padman have not made the official announcement as yet.”
That could also be the reason that Akshay called for an impromptu press conference today at his residence at Prime Beach. HFT spoke to Akshay’s spokesperson but were informed that he is currently at the Versova Fish Festival and will be heading to the press conference shortly and the spokesperson also added that she could not comment on the same.
The film has already been postponed earlier too and will now release on 9 February along with Siddharth Malhotra’s Aiyaari. However, the same source also informed us that there are almost 4 releases on 9 February and chances are that Padmavat will enjoy a single release or maybe the makers of Aiyaari will prepone their film to 25 January!
It’s like a game of musical chairs for both Aiyaari and Padman!
