While Zaheer does not belong to a film family, Pranutan is actors Monish Bahl and Ekta Bahl’s daughter and the late actor Nutan’s granddaughter. Zaheer is the son of Salman’s close friend. The cast and crew of the film will be shooting in the picturesque valley of Kashmir for the next two months.

The Notebook is said to be a love story produced by Salman’s production banner SKF along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde led Cine1 Studios. Salman saw Zaheer performing on stage at one of the weddings he attended and he was very impressed with him and decided then that he would cast him for a film. It’s said that Salman has been personally keeping a close watch on Zaheer’s preparations for the film. Zaheer has undergone training in action and dance.

Proud to introduce Nutanji’s granddaughter & Monya’s daughter to the big screen. @iamzahero @pranutanbahl @nitinrkakkar @muradkhetani @ashwinvarde.” Pranutan, on the other hand, was quoted saying that she was very touched and she actually became emotional when she found out that Salman was launching her. She also added that she was not nervous since acting has always been calling.

Kashmir is Salman’s favorite place that we are definite about by now since two of his previous big hits; Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tubelight too were shot in the valley. Let’s hope it proves to be lucky for Notebook too!
