Satyameva Jayate is John Abraham’s next film after Parmanu. While the release of Parmanu was quite eventful, with the film being wrapped in controversy and the release dates changing constantly, the film was finally released on 25 May. Though there were no such controversies regarding John’s Satyameva Jayate, the makers had to go to Aamir Khan for the rights of the title as Aamir has a talk show by the same name on television. Aamir was gracious enough to give them the go ahead.
The film is now all set for release this Independence Day (15 August). The trailer of the film was released today. Satyameva Jayate is a cop drama and promises to be a power-packed-action drama! The film is a complete masala package as John Abraham said at the trailer launch; “The film is an unfiltered, hardcore commercial film and it’s a full plate!” The trailer gives us a picture that it is a revenge drama, where there are flashbacks of John as a little boy witnessing his father go up in flames. John is a serial killer in police uniform who is out to kill corrupt police officers and to end corruption. In most of the visuals in the trailer, John’s face and body are drenched in blood!

Satyameva Jayate also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Tum Bin 2 actress Neha Sharma’s sister Aisha Sharma. Aisha makes her Bollywood film debut with this film and she is reportedly going to the essay the role of a veterinarian. During the trailer launch today, Manoj Bajpayee welcomed Aisha and said, “Welcome to the woods, Aisha!” Aisha, in turn, said that she enjoyed working on this film. “When you have actors like John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee, they make your life very easy. I was never made to feel like a newcomer. The film was a breeze,” said Aisha.
