Saahabzaade Irfan Ali Khan aka Irrfan Khan is an Indian film actor who has also acted variously in British films and in Hollywood. He is, in fact, regarded as one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry. His debut was with the 1988 movie Salaam Bombay! He has also been the recipient of the Padma Shri Award back in 2011. His upcoming movie Blackmail is all set to release tomorrow (6th April, 2018).

A comedy drama directed by Saket Chaudhury and written by Zeenat Lakhani, it is a remake of the Malayalam film Salt Mango Tree (2015). Irrfan plays the role of a rich businessman, Raj Batra. In an attempt to get their daughter admitted to one of the most posh schools in Delhi, Irrfan and Saba Qamar, gets enlightened on the truth about classes in our society.

Perhaps one of the best Indian social thrillers it traces the story of a child, the son of a Home Minister, who has been kidnapped by Nirmal played by Irrfan Khan. It goes beyond the run and chase story of conventional Bollywood action movies.

In this biographical movie directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, Irrfan plays the role of Paan Singh Tomar, a 7 times gold medalist athlete at Indian National Games, who turns into a dacoit following his mother’s murder, for which police takes no action.
Irrfan has definitely changed the face of Indian cinema. He has perhaps been the face of some of the most challenging roles of Bollywood we have seen.
