The 70th Prime Time Emmy Awards, which held on 17th September according to the American Standard Time saw many success stories come alive and shine brightly. The nominees this time were real tough competitors to one another. And like every other Emmy award, the deserving ones took the trophies away. What we witnessed is a mixture of glamour and talent, tears and happiness, peace and competition, all within one night!

The Emmy awards witnessed winners like ‘Saturday Night Live’ as the best ‘Variety Sketch Series’, A ‘Multi-Camera Series (A Gay Olde Christmas) for ‘Outstanding Cinematography’. We totally couldn’t keep calm when we saw Claire Foy receiving the award for ‘Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ and Matthew Rhys for ‘Lead Actor in a Drama Series’.

Indeed, this year’s Emmy Award show was packed with wonderful moments. Betty White, the woman who has inspired millions with her work took her Lifetime Achievement ovation from the audience which seemed to be for a minute or so!

What pleased the eyes most is to witness Kate McKinnon and Kenan Thompson starting the opening number with Saturday Night Live. They even addressed the beautiful diversity of America with just one line before starting the opening piece, “So, diversity is not a problem in Hollywood anymore?”

Yes, The Emmys were one of the best awards shows this year. While we wait for the next year’s Emmys, we could watch this year’s Emmys for three, four, five times without getting tired!
