The Lion King Trailer : Another Delightful Treat From Jon Favreau, Coming Soon!

Jon Favreau is back again with another live action after his last Jungle Book. If you’ve enjoyed the former two live-action remakes Beauty and The Beast and The Jungle Book, then you have a treat coming soon! Disney has just released the trailer of Jon Favreau’s The Lion King.

There are plenty of familiar shots and moments from the animated classic and the scenes are sure to bring back those memories of our childhood back.The teaser that was released last November, the audience is given a glimpse of Rafiki present a young Simba to the animals of the Pride Lands. The teaser also included the famous shot of Simba being held up for all to see, just like in the animated version of the movie. While the trailer opens with shots of Simba and Nala, exploring the elephant graveyard and encountering Scar’s band of hyenas.

The new trailer sees Simba (JD McCrary and Donald Glover) being taught about the circle of life and the harsh realities that it is filled with by his father, Mufasa (James Earl Jones). Baby Simba is adorable and is back to make our hearts melt with his cuteness. The beautiful background music only enhances the scenes. The trailer also has a brief clip of Pumbaa and Timon singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” right at the end.

James Earl Jones whose voice is ever so peaceful and comforting returns to reprise his role as Mufasa. Like the teaser, the trailer too gives you goosebumps when Mufasa tells baby Simba, “Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance.”

Simba is back to charm you

The cast of Lion King includes Beyonce as Nala, Donald Glover as Simba, Alfre Woodard as Simba’s mother Sarabi, John Kani as Rafiki, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazu, Eric André as Azizi, and Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Florence Kasumba as Shenzi.

The Lion King is produced by Disney and the film is scheduled to release on 19 July 2019.
