PeeCee is the dark horse we have all been secretly rooting for. From Andaaz to her outstanding performance in Quantico for which she has been critically acclaimed, she has only risen in the industry never looking back. Just when we were starting to miss her here in Bollywood and were yet again disappointed with the news of her quitting “Bharat”, good news is, she has started shooting today, for Shonali Bose’s much awaited movie – “The Sky Is Pink”. Bollywood hasn’t seen her for a while now, her last project was Prakash Jha’s Gaangajal sequel which was released back in 2016. Reportedly the shooting of the film kickstarts today and we are going to hold our breath for the trailer.

Piggy Chops is ‘excited’ and ‘happy’ about the film going on floors and she took to social media to express her delight. In these photos Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim- her co-stars, along with Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Ronnie Screwvala- the producers can also be spotted. The story reportedly chronicles the life of Aisha Chaudhary played by Zaira Wasim in the movie. Aisha decided to become a motivational speaker after she was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at a tender age of 13. Shonali Bose has been known for films that tell different kind of stories, stories from which we learn and take something back home. Her Margarita with a Straw was a brilliant masterpiece starring Kalki and her performance has not been forgotten. Looks like “The Sky Is Pink” is walking those footsteps.

Priyanka and Farhan play the role of Aisha’s parents – Aditi and Niren Chaudhary. Priyanka is returning to India for this project and while Hollywood would surely miss her, we cannot contain our happiness to welcome the actress home. The locale for the film will be widespread across the country and even internationally- Delhi, Mumbai, Andamans and London. The dialogues have been penned by Juhi Chaturvedi and Pritam will be in charge of the music. PeeCee will share screen with Farhan for the second time after ‘Dil Dhadakne do’. The actress has mentioned her utmost adoration for the director and called this enterprise as “a great homecoming”.

Shonali has returned Priyanka’s kind words and called this one a dream cast and Farhan has also shared an equally excited post of the team taking a selfie. Dream cast or not, it is definitely one of the reasons why we are going to watch this movie. This shall be a special movie, it has a strong script and revolves around a strong character. What makes it special is also the fact that Priyanka will be bagging a small percentage of the profit this film will make. Well if our stars are happy then we are happy! We wish the team good luck and hope the theatrical posters will be released soon.
