Christopher Robin – For The Sweetest Friendship

While it is already creating a buzz abroad, Disney lovers cannot wait any longer for this movie to hit the theatres on 10th August! Who wouldn’t want to witness the beautiful friendship between Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin once again? Along with director Marc Forster, the cast list with Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell also seem to be up to the mark.
Crazy Rich Asians – A Fun Romantic Drama

Based on the 2013 novel by Kevin Kwan, this is a romantic drama about a woman and her long-time boyfriend, who is a much desired bachelor back home in Singapore. This is supposed to be a crazy and jovial film with elements of humor, romance and drama strewn all over. The movie will be released on the 15th August in the USA and Indian audience can catch it in theaters on the 24th of this month.
Mile 22 – Get Prepared For An Action-packed Time

This American action-thriller movie is set to release on 17th August, 2018. Peter Berg is in charge of the director along with Lea Carpenter who is the writer of the story along with Graham Rolland. Mark Wahlberg is the lead and John Malkovich have taken the place of the supporting roles. Yes, since Avengers wouldn’t arrive soon, we could simply have a great time with ‘Mile 22’!
For Bollywood, however, the themes are of course a lot different from Hollywood. Here are some of the movies that the Indian Cinema has in store for us this August:
Gold – The Proud Hockey Team At The Olympics

‘Gold’ is about the Indian team of Hockey which won the first Olympic medal for India on the 12th of October, 2018, a year after it was declared as an independent nation. The cast of ‘Gold’ has Akshay Kumar and the silver screen actress Mouni Roy as the leads in the movie. The release date of the movie is of course, 15th of August, 2018, the Indian Independence Day!
Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi – The Eloping Bride Is Back

A sequel to the 2016 comedy drama that starred Diana Penty and Abhay Deol, this time it seems, Sonakshi Sinha is the Happy, in the 2nd version of the movie. It also marks Punjabi actor Jassie Gill’s debut in Bollywood and stars Jimmy Shrgill in a pivotal role. This romantic comedy is all set to release on 24th August.
Andhadhun – Music Needs No Vision

Well, an Indian thriller movie is up the charts this August. ‘Andhadhun’, starring Radhika Apte, Tabu and Ayushmann Khurrana is going to be a hard-hitting thriller. Releasing late August, that is on 31stAugust, 2018, we are glued to it since the teaser itself!
With these movies hitting the theatres, we can’t guarantee on our productivity at office this August. We really hope all the movies earn a good collection at the Box-Office!
