What’s Happening On The Sets Of Namaste England?

Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s massive 2007 hit Namastey London was loved and appreciated by one and all. Akshay Kumar’s acting was critically acclaimed and so was Rishi Kapoor’s. The movie efficiently juxtaposed frames in India and London and the soundtrack was just as amazing. But if you think you cannot get enough of Namastey London you are right. Shah had mentioned his intention of making a sequel and looks like that intention is finally gaining concrete, realistic terms. Here is what is happening on the sets of Namaste London 2!

Looks like Namaste London’s sequel is not, in fact, a direct continuation of the original. There are a few changes here and there of course. Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra have been signed for the movie reportedly. And it’s not called Namaste London 2 but Namaste England. It will be shot in various parts of London, Germany, Switzerland, Mumbai and Punjab.

Arjun will be a bit of a desi Romeo, very quirky with a subtle desi twist. And Parineeti will be just another woman fascinated by the sheer glitz and glamour of the UK, an ambitious Punjabi. Arjun’s character is a lot like Akshay’s from Namaste London, though it’s strictly anchored in Indian culture.

Speaking of similarities in both the movies, it seems that the sequel has also been scripted in a similar fashion and fuses Punjabi and Brit flavor. The first look at the theatrical posters is quite promising. This will probably be their third film together (after Ishaaqzaade and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which is yet to be released).

The film will reportedly be released sometime in December. Arjun took to social media to share the news captioned “Me and Parineeti are back!!! Time to fly with us on this wonderful journey from Punjab to England!!! 7th December 2018.” Arjun seems to be working really hard and is doing 18 hour shifts for the movie, to make up for the lost time when he was away to be with his family after Sridevi’s demise.

The film traces the beautiful journey of these two people from Punjab to England. Parineeti also reportedly uploaded a video of a song shoot on her Instagram and it looks very groovy. If you are looking for some desi tadka, you should hit the big screens on the 7th of December for sure.
