9 Times Sukhwinder Singh Has Outdone Himself With These Bollywood Songs

Some of the singer’s top performances

We’ve all grown up listening to Sukhwinder Singh’s immaculate voice. His voice seems to have a Midas touch which turns every song into pure gold the moment he sings it. He has been active in the industry since quite a long time and has given us gems that we begin crooning to the moment we listen to them anywhere. Here’s a list of Bollywood songs in which we believe Sukhwinder Singh has managed to outdo himself.

Bolo Har Har Har

Bolo Har Har Har is the latest among his hit songs. It’s a collaboration between various artists, but Sukhwinder Singh stands out among them without much effort.

Sultan

This song goes perfectly with the high octane drama from the film Sultan. Sukhwinder Singh has breathed a lot of vigour into it with his voice.

Slow motion Angreza

This was a standout song from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It’s a brilliant fusion between western music and bhangra. The song will compel you to break into a dance each time you hear it.

Dard E Disco

In Dard E Disco too, the energy that Sukhwinder Singh brings with his voice is unbelievable. His trademark high pitch singing is on full display here, and so is the excellent dynamism in his voice.

Lagan Lagi

Lagan Lagi from Tere Naam is always ridiculed for Salman Khan’s look in it, but for Sukhwinder Singh, it’s an absolute achievement in his career. This much-loved song has him crooning the lyrics with unrelenting energy.

Layi Ve Na Gayee

One of his most famous songs, Layi Ve Na Gayee is an emotional trip in itself. It’s a wonderful rendition in which he has inserted a bevy of emotions with his surreal voice.

Aaj Mera Jee Karda

This one from Monsoon Wedding must’ve made Sukhwinder feel right at home due to its Punjabi lyrics. It’s actually a variation of a folk song and has been rendered beautifully by him.

Chaiyya Chaiyya

This iconic song from Dil Se flung Sukhwinder not just into Bollywood’s limelight, but also put him on the world stage, as it was one of the top songs in the UK at that time. Moreover, the track was also used in the Hollywood film Inside Man which came out in 2006.

Ramta Jogi

Here’s another AR Rahman number that was given voice to by Sukhwinder Singh. Ramta Jogi is a fast paced song with high notes, but the magic of Sukhwinder is that he makes it sound so easy to sing the song.
