The constant showing up of club/party songs in Bollywood continues with Akh Lad Jave, the newest track from Loveratri. The T-Series YouTube channel has also released a music video of this number, which features the film’s lead actors Aayush Sharma Warina Hussain dancing in a club.

Asees Kaur begins the song by singing out the lines in an extremely sensuous tone. “Jo akh lad jaave, saari raat neend na aave. Meinu bada tadpaave. Dil chain kahin na paave paave paave” is the chorus of this track.

Aayush Sharma’s lines have been sung by Jubin Nautiyal. He too gives a flawless vocal performance in Akh Lad Jave. The song has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, who has kept the composition simple, giving more importance to the beats and the overall vibe.

Badshah chimes in with his own rap in the middle of the song. It goes, “Le gayi meri jaan, haan teri ek look. Badshah ke gaane ki jaise koi hook. Dekh ke chandaa vi gaya tujhe chhup. Baat meri sunn baby bilkul chupp.” This short portion doesn’t feel like a rap since it so effortlessly blends into the track.

Chogada, the first song to be released from the soundtrack of Loveratri, is ruling the charts right now. It’s a beautiful recreation of an old Gujarati folksong. This one is sure to be this year’s Navratri anthem. Since its release a week ago, it has already grabbed 19 million views on YouTube.

Loveratri is an upcoming Bollywood musical that is being directed by debutante Abhiraj Minawala. The film is being produced by Salman Khan Films, which is not surprising since lead actor Aayush Sharma happens to be his brother-in-law.

Loveratri is a romantic drama set against the backdrop of the Navratri festival in Gujarat. Aayush’s character is a garba teacher in Baroda, who falls in love with an NRI girl, played by Warina, when she visits his town during the festival.

Apart from the two actors, the film also features, Anshuman Jha, Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor, Prachi Shah and Pratik Gandhi, among others. Moreover, brothers Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz will also be seen making cameo appearances in this upcoming film.

Loveratri will be released across theatres in India on October 5.
