Bachche Ki Jaan From 102 Not Out Is A Fun And Peppy Number

Bachche Ki Jaan will make you love Amitabh Bachchan all over again

I’m sure the movie buff in you is eagerly waiting for the release of Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out and the back to back releases of the teaser, the songs, looks and the trailer has just added to the anticipation of the movie. A movie that has a 102 year old father, Dattatraya Vakharia, played by Amitabh Bachchan, waiting to break the world record of the oldest man living on earth, and his 75 year old son, Babulal, played by Rishi Kapoor, who is a bit old school in his thoughts, is obviously set to be something different from the lot! And when the songs have the voice of Big B, it makes the wait all the more impatient. The recently released song Bachche Ki Jaan is hilarious and endearing as well as a fun number.

As the video stars off, we see the dad, Amitabh asking his son, Rishi Kapoor, to write a love letter to the latter’s wife. As the video proceeds, we see the son engaged in thoughts on what to write in the letter, while slopping on his couch, at his breakfast table and even in his bathroom. The father on the other hand behaves younger than his son, who goes out, waves at girls, plays foot ball with kids and the kids are rather awestruck at the old man’s skills. We also see Amitabh doing all that he can to reconcile his son and his daughter-in-law. He tries to give his son all kinds of trendy romantic ideas and even plays some funny pranks while doing this. To top it all, we see Big B, the 102 year old, playing a saxophone in style and the video ends with the dad saying “Yo” the lingo common with the youth these days. Rishi Kapoor’s attempt at writing a good love letter seems really futile and that is proved many times. Once his maid reads it and is utterly amused and once the letter gets spoilt with bird poop, proving symbolically, how bad it is!

The lyrics of the song, written by Hiral Brahmbhatt, goes perfectly well with the feel and the picturization and choosing Arijit Singh for the playback voice was just the right decision, by the talented composers Salim-Sulaiman. The perfect use of the orchestra, drums, guitars, trumpets, flutes and most importantly the saxophone adds to the fun element and the tempo of this peppy number.

All set to be released on the 4th of May, 2018, 102 Not Out is a must watch and this refreshing track only emphasizes that fact even more!
